In general, a healthy diet is a diet that supplies your body with all the nutrients it needs every day. There are categories established for all the nutrients that our body needs and at the top there are macronutrients, which are proteins, carbohydrates and fats

A healthy diet is generally characterized by the limitation of food intake. Based on this premise, people tend to limit the definition of a healthy diet to reduce the amount of food they eat every day. Keep in mind that dietary options are very important simply because, through healthy eating, you will have weight loss. And at the same time, you will see quick results that will make you enjoy a healthier life

In fact, the main goal of a healthy diet is not weight loss. It is the promotion and maintenance of good health because a healthy diet prevents many health risks that affect the nation today, including, but not limited to, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer

Our diet should consist of complex carbohydrates (5-9 servings per day), fruits and vegetables (4-9 servings), proteins (3-5 servings) and fats (less than 30 g per day is recommended for a diet. healthy). But eating the right foods doesn't necessarily mean you're getting enough nutrients. Refining and processing of foods remove much of the nutritional value and the pesticides and other agents used in the growth process pose additional demands on our bodies. Before our food reaches the supermarket, it may be nutritionally deficient. Therefore, take additional measures to preserve the nutritional content of food when possible:

  • Eat the peels of vegetables
  • Do not cut, shake or dip fruit and vegetables until you are ready to eat them. Exposure of cut surfaces to air destroys many nutrients
  • Eat unpolished brown rice and whole grains
  • Choose frech fruits and vegetables first, but remember that the nutritional value decreases with age. frozen is a better option if you are not going to eat food immediately
  •  Eat raw when possible; if you cook, use as little water as possible
  •  If you make organic fruit or vegetables, use the remaining water after cooking the sauces or gravy
  •  Eat organic food whenever possible. It may be a little more expensive, but you can be sure that the foods you are eating have not been processed and grown without the use of pesticides and other chemicals


When choosing a healthy diet, identify a variety of foods that make up a balanced diet. The food recipes you choose should be foods you love. This will ensure you don't get bored and don't give up on your healthy diet plan

Choose your daily dietary needs from different food groups: complex carbohydrates, fruits and vegetables, fats and proteins. Try to choose organic fruit and vegetables
